How it works
01
Find the right labs
Upload your resume or paste interests. Marrow ranks faculty by genuine research overlap — not keyword matching.
02
Drafts in your voice
Each email cites the paper that earned the match. Edit inline; Marrow learns your tone over time.

Nothing leaves Gmail without an explicit click. Track replies in one queue.

Your inbox stays your inbox.

I sent 23 emails in a weekend and got 6 lab interviews. Two PIs replied saying it was the most specific cold email they'd received.

Marrow caught a lab I would have missed because the PI's keywords didn't match mine, but their last paper did. That's the one I joined.

The approval step is everything. I've watched friends fire off auto-generated emails. This forces me to actually read what I'm sending.

FAQ

Common questions from pre-meds.

What is Marrow?+

Marrow is a research outreach copilot for Canadian pre-medical students. It finds professors whose published work overlaps with your background, drafts personalized cold emails that cite the matched papers, and waits for you to approve every send.

Does Marrow send emails automatically?+

No. Every email requires an explicit click to send. Marrow uses Google's restricted Gmail scope and can never send autonomously. This is a core product rule, not a setting.

Who is Marrow for?+

Canadian undergraduate pre-medical students (years 1–4) actively applying to research labs. We index 84,000+ Canadian and US faculty, with a Canadian-first focus.

How does Marrow match professors to me?+

You upload your resume or paste your interests. Marrow searches Canadian and US faculty pages, parses recent papers, and ranks labs by genuine research overlap with your background — not keyword matching.

Is my data private?+

Yes. Resumes are encrypted at rest and can be deleted on request within 24 hours. Marrow uses a read-only Gmail scope and never reads your other mail. All traffic is TLS 1.3 and we never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

How much does Marrow cost?+

Starter is free forever (20 emails per month). Applicant is $12/month for unlimited emails, voice fine-tuning, and reply tracking. Lab is $8 per student per month for pre-med clubs and advisors.

Why cold-email professors at all?+

Direct outreach is how most undergraduate research positions are filled — there is no centralized application. The bottleneck is writing emails specific enough to earn a response. Marrow removes that friction without sacrificing personalization.

Stop staring at the blank email.

Upload your resume, pick a specialty, and have your first three drafts ready in under five minutes. Free to start — no card, no commitment.
